Fresno PD 'Proud Boy' Lawsuit

A judge has ruled that a lawsuit filed by a Fresno police officer with ties to the Proud Boys can move forward in part, keeping his wrongful termination claim alive. While some allegations were dismissed, the court said key questions remain about whether the officer was improperly fired, setting the stage for further legal proceedings against the city.

Fresno Police are on alert after a “takeover” event was promoted on social media, prompting flyers warning of gatherings with illegal stunts. Officers will increase patrols around parks, malls, and event areas this weekend to prevent sideshows, brawls, and robberies tied to the trend. 

Country music outlaw legend David Allan Coe has died at age 86. Known for boundary‑pushing songs like “You Never Even Called Me by My Name,” Coe helped define the outlaw country movement and left a lasting, controversial legacy in American music.
